"All music is essentially chamber music and though I mainly know the members of Sound Academy through their orchestral work, it is above all their qualities as listeners and collaborators that make them such wonderful musicians. They are special players whether they are performing an opera, a symphony, or an oboe quintet. They have the desire to play with both subtlety and passion, the ability to express music's abstract qualities alongside its dramatic ones, and the experience to perform not only with flair as individuals but also discipline as a group. As a result I'm sure all their concerts will be both unique and memorable events."
